This is probably one of the best restaurants we have ever been to. The service (family run) was amazing, friendly, helpful and very first class. The food was excellent, as a foodie, the combinations and the quality was superb (I had pan fried foie gras on ginger bread followed by scallops wrapped in bacon) . We took a cab from the taxi rank because it is slightly out of town (behind the fire station) but it was definitely worth seeking it out. Although it is more expensive than a lot of other restaurants in Lagos the value is amazing. We had three courses each and wine for €100 - a dinner like this anywhere else would have easily been €150pp. My wife had the special deal of 5 courses for €30 which was amazing value and is what I would choose the next time we visit ( 1 covert, 2 starters, 1 main course, dessert and coffee).
The unassuming cafe like entrance belies the wonderful food and romantic setting within. This is another family run restaurant with a French chef and his Portuguese wife in front of house. A small restaurant with a fairly short menu using local produce plus a few imports from France are prepared while you wait, so don't be in a hurry as the end result is simply delicious. I had skate with capers, it was delicious and one of the best meals I've ever had in Lagos. The restaurant is difficult to behind but is very close to the apartment. We suggest you work out your directions before , and be warned half the population of this town don't know where it is. Booking essential, there are very few tables. I would say that the food is not quite of a high standard as A Casa Do Pintor but excellent nonetheless. They do not accept credit cards.
